Köşektaş Köyü

[edit]

English

[edit]

Köşektaş is one of the most beautiful village in the Central Anatolia Region. The village is located on the plains at the northern foot of Cappadocia, a land which seems to be a fantasy. Words are useless to describe the beauty and charm of the region, and Kızılırmak, the longest river of the country, to the east of Hacıbektaş, the town where Hacı Bektaş-i Veli settled and established his Bektaş Sufi order in the 14th century. The dervishes who followed the sect's tenets of love and humanism were housed in the monastery which includes a mausoleum and mosque. It is worth stopping to wander through the interesting Archaeological and Ethnographical Museum.

Celalettin Ölgün, a retired teacher, is originally from Köşektaş, but now lives in Turgutlu, wrote the history of Köşektaş. In addition, he wrote more than 1000 articels about Köşektaş, its people and culture. His articels will be published on Köşektaş's homepage www.kosektas.net.

Remark: This article was written and sent by Lütfullah Çetin. He will continue to write about Köşektaş.

Note: We are looking for volunteers, who want to write articles about Köşektaş and its culture in different languages, for instance in Turkish, English, German, French or Spanish. Please send your feedback or article about Köşektaş to the email address 'kosektas@kosektas.net', so that they can be published in this Wikipedia page.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Köşektaş, ein Dorf erwacht Neugier genügt vom 22. Juli 2004, 11.30 Uhr.

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I had to revert the recent edits by Cetin.l. Firstly, we should only write in English, because this is the English Wikipedia. Therefore, the German and Turkish versions were unecessary. The main problem however was the text itself. Sentences such as "Köşektaş is one of the most beautiful village in the Central Anatolia Region", "a land which seems to be a fantasy", and ""Words are useless to describe the beauty and charm of the region" violate WP:NPOV. Please read-up on the policy in the meantime. Thanks. Khoikhoi 01:54, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
